The DuckTales soundtrack was composed by Hiroshige Tonomura, and was among his first couple soundtracks. In addition to arranging the DuckTales Theme, Tonomura also composed various background tracks, the sound of each manages to capture the theme of the level while also incorporating the playfulness of the game's content. The game also has a couple jingles and fanfares based on the DuckTales Theme. The titles of the songs come from the DuckTales -Remastered- soundtrack which is the first official release of the music.
To create the game's soundtrack, Hiroshige had to painstakingly code the music in 6502 assembly language utilizing Yoshihiro Sakaguchi's sound driver.
